Speak IT UP!!

This is a module where students from all over the Pakistan meet, discuss, debate and try to find solution to a problem prevalent in Pakistan. It will be like a crisis committee called for the solution of the problem at hand.
- Rules:
- Each participant will have to speak for 2 minutes at the start of the conference. In the beginning speeches a participant will have to talk about his general stand on the topic, his understanding of the problem and the solution he would like to apply to the problem.
- After the opening speeches the debate will be open and if a participant wants to speak he will have to raise his banner. The participant will be allowed to speak upon the recognition of the chairs.
- General parliamentary procedure shall be followed.
- Participants will be expected to maintain decorum otherwise he/she may be asked to leave the meeting.
- Once a draft paper is presented to the chair, any two participants who wish to speak in favor of the paper, upon the recognition of the chair shall be asked to speak for a max period of 2 minutes. After that any two speakers who wish to speak against the paper shall be asked to speak for a max period of 2 minutes.
- After that the debate on the paper will be open and any one can speak upon the recognition of the chair.
- Multiple draft papers may also be presented, and a draft paper can also be called to debate via a motion after the debate has been stopped.
- Once a draft resolution is presented, two participants in favor and two against may speak upon the recognition of the chair.
- Then the debate on the resolution will be open till another resolution is presented or a motion for a vote is made.
- For a resolution to pass its needs the approval of two third of the participants.
- Further details regarding the pattern of the draft resolution and other things shall be conveyed later. The topic shall also be conveyed later.
